Circles and rings

Two primitives are round:

PrimitiveParametersShape
circleradius[, segments]a filled disk around the origin
ringradius, width[, segments]a ring around the origin; radius is the radius of its center line

Curves are written to GDSII as polygons. segments sets the number of sides; when it is left out, laylight uses just enough of them to keep the outline within one database unit of the true curve.

Parameters can be passed by position, as so far, or by name, which reads better when there are several:

shape ring with radius = 10um, width = 500nm as ring

The bounding box of a ring includes its full width: ring.bottom_center lies radius + width / 2 below the center.

Exercise

Couple a second resonator to the bus: a disk (a circle) of radius 10 µm, 200 nm above the bus like the ring, but 15 µm to the right of the bus center.
